Over the years at BRC Recovery

My organic “introduction” to the field of treatment began in 2002, and I began working in this industry full time in 2009. Over the years at BRC Recovery I have seen the median age of our census go from individuals in their mid to late 30s to most recently individuals between the ages of 22-24. Truly, as the epidemic of addiction sweeps this nation, our clientele becomes younger and more clinically complicated. In short, our millennials are suffering and dying, and it is our responsibility to take note and for our milieu to evolve. At BRC our leadership team has been working tirelessly to develop and implement new programs targeted at meeting the needs of struggling young adults. As part of the overall strategy, we are honored to have recently associated with and are excited to appear in the Winter 2016 edition of Recovery Campus Magazine. Providing resources and options to college aged people and those professionals working alongside them is vitally important. Thank you Trent Boozer, Amity Moore and all the fine folks at Recovery Campus for being the caring professionals you are! From our robust Alumni Association providing connection, community and fun sober activities, to our emerging educational immersion track, to our soon to be announced brand new young adult program (stay tuned!), we are wholeheartedly committed to not only meeting our residents and families where they are, but also meeting our community, nation and world where it is. Bringing Real Change whenever and wherever it is needed is part of our forward thinking, solution focused mission, and it is clear today that young people are crying out for just that.
